In 2001, Derek Low started BW Automobile Pte Ltd (Formerly known as Benzworld) with 1 employee, a small scale of pre-owned Mercedes Benz were purchased and retailed in his showroom back in Tai Keng Gardens. From the beginning, his goal was to become one of the market leaders in the Automobile Industry dealing with pre-owned vehicles. He wanted to operate his business in 2 different arms, Retail and Export. With foresight and hard work, the company has grown to include over 40 employees and has developed new strategies to meet the needs of our growing number of customers locally and worldwide.
In 2003, BW Automobiles Export Division was created for the provision of used vehicles internationally, the markets we cater to consists of Cyprus, Russia, New Zealand, Africa, Caribbean, Mauritius, Indonesia, Malaysia, Fiji and many more. Instead of just providing large quantity of cars to our customers internationally, the company’s focus was on the quality and because of that we have managed to build a good and trustworthy reputation for ourselves in those countries respectively.
In 2005, the company’s business expanded and we shifted from Tai Keng Gardens to our current location at VICOM INSPECTION BLDG, we now operate in a much larger showroom that has the capacity to host a larger variety of cars. Mercedes Benz leading the way and other makes like Lexus, BMW, Jaguar, Range Rover and even Chrysler progressively making their way into our showroom.
In 2007, BW Automobiles Sin Ming Branch was officially opened.
In 2007, BW Automobiles obtained ISO 9001:2001 for the Sales of Premium Pre-owned Vehicles.
In 2008, BW Pro-Select Automobiles Branch was officially opened to cater to the premium category of cars consisting of supercars like Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Porches and many other exotic and rare makes. The company’s motive of creating Pro-Select is to provide not only to the minimum criteria’s of a customer when selecting a vehicle, but to optimise and ensure maximum satisfaction.
